Megabass Vs The Clarie Hall Dam Bass Electric

Megabass Vs The Clarie Hall Dam Bass Electric

Getting the chance to fish a new area of water is something that any angler should grab with both hands, so, when fellow Frogleys Pro staff angler, Joe Allen suggested we fish the Clarie Hall Dam Bass electric I was excited. We had heard  a few reports that the fishing was a little tough but after the stories I was still keen to see how picturesque the dam is.

The day arrived and my first thought about this waterway was WOW! With lilly pads the most prominent feature, this is the area that we concentrated our efforts.  Surface and crank baits was our attack with the former being successful albeit  limited.

Joey got the first hit of the day fishing a Megabass pop X. This fish swam away not seeing the inside of the boat but we knew there were fish in the area at least. It took another 15 minutes before  Joey got another hit which he converted to a keeper which turned out to be our only legal fish for the day.

Clarie Hall turned out to be a tough dam to fish, but hey that’s bass fishing. We had a great day fishing a great dam unfortunately the bass didn’t play the game.

The lillies skirting the edges of Clarie Hall dam hold good numbers of bass
